An idyllic peaceful family's life is disturbed and turned upside down when the authorities announce they are drawing the border right through their home. The family is placed in a position where their insignificant lives seemingly gain a deeper, somewhat historical importance and meaning. At least that's what the diplomats drawing the border make them assume. Visible and invisible boundaries between people, countries, authority and life - Sławomir Mrożek, the polish writer intends his play as the satire of the naiveté of people's mentality, a harsh portrayal of the abuse of power in politics.
