The festive season at Figura Theatre is coming to an end, but the company will not leave the stage during the summer.

As the eventful season at the Gheorgheni theatre draws to a close, the company will present two more performances in June: Heinrich von Kleist’s The Broken Jug and Ferenc Molnár’s Liliom, accompanied by live music. The theatrical crime story built around The Broken Jug, first performed last spring, will be staged on June 12 at 7:00 PM on the Öntöde stage, directed by Bálint Botos. The performance examines the nature of power with humor and ruthless insight.

Liliom, the story of the park’s newspaper seller and Juli Zeller, the all-around girl, will be performed on June 17 at 7:00 PM. This live musical performance, featuring music by Tankcsapda, is directed by István Albu. Liliom has also been invited to the 37th Kisvárda Festival of Hungarian Theatres, where the company will perform on June 20 at the Refi stage, and to the summer program of the Gyula Castle Theatre, where it will be presented on July 28 as part of the Transylvanian Week.

The final event of the festive season will take place on June 28, when the Fordulatok exhibition can be visited for the last time at 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Participation in this unconventional, hybrid theatre exhibition is possible through guided group tours. At the end of the day, the official season-closing ceremony will be held in the park next to the Cultural House.

Reservations and information for the performances can be obtained at +40 752-227-011 or via email at org@figura.ro. Tickets are available in advance, at the venue before the performances, or online at www.figura.ro.
