In the fourth month of the year, the theater will present long-missed audience favorites, premieres, and performances with live music. At the end of the month, rehearsals will begin for the co-production with the Tamási Áron Theatre in Sfântu Gheorghe.

In April, Heinrich von Kleist’s theatrical crime story returns to the stage, exploring the nature of power with a modernity far ahead of its time. The production is directed by Bálint Botos, starring Norbert-László Moșu, Gábor Kolozsi Borsos, and Péter Dávid. The Broken Jug will be performed on Saturday, April 5, at 7:00 PM.

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the theater is reimagining titles first presented by the company in its early years. The company will stage Bálint Balassi’s Beautiful Hungarian Comedy as the fifth premiere of the season, directed by István Albu. The Renaissance Hungarian drama was first performed in October 1993 in Gheorgheni, directed by Olga Barabás. The premiere of the new production will take place on April 17, with the next performance scheduled for April 23. On April 30, the live music performance Liliom will return to the stage at 7:00 PM in the Öntöde studio hall.
