The Romanian National Theatre Union (UNITER) awards the most prestigious prizes in the theatre industry every year. UNITER was founded in 1990, and its main goal is to present the theatre profession in the country, as well as to preserve and protect cultural heritage. One of its primary objectives at the time of its creation was to establish an environment where artists could freely express their thoughts and artistic aspiration.

This year, the award ceremony is being held for the 33rd time, during which the best artists in the country will be honored in various categories. This year, Erika Márton, the set and costume designer of the play Liliom, presented by the Figura Studio Theatre, has been nominated for the Best Set Design Award, while our theatre's director, István Albu, has been nominated for the Lucian Pintilie Award for the Best Direction, for his staging of Richard III at the Harag György Company of the Satu Mare North Theatre.

Erika Márton brilliantly solved the challenge of conveying both the earthly and celestial spheres in the studio production by creating a revolving stage, which allows the audience to easily transition between the two timelines. In the earthy sphere, we soon find ourselves alongside Liliom and Julie, experiencing the agony of their love, while in the celestial sphere, we suddenly find ourselves humming well-known Tankcsapda songs with the four archangles.
