Throughout February, Figura Studio Theatre offers a diverse range of performances to captivate audiences. Their program provides entertainment, laughter, and also opportunities for reflection on various life situations for both children and adults.

Through a stage adaptation of Lázár Ervin's storybook, we gain a glimpse into the circus world with the help of Szigfrid, Szilvia, and Panka. The performance tells a story about the border between childhood and adulthood and the importance of friendship, all through the lens of the circus world. Children in Miercurea Ciuc can see the performance as part of the Csíki Játékszín subscription system, and on February 13, at 1:00 PM, the troupe will present the story of Bruckner Szigfrid and Panka to the audience in Miercurea Nirajului. The production, with the director Kolozsi Borsos Gábor, dramaturg Balázs Helga, set and costume designer Huszár Kató, and composer Barti Lehel-András, involves both a young child and lions.

At the beginning of the month, a well-known title, Ház a határon ("House at the Border"), makes a return. The play raises several themes, such as the responsibility associated with power and the shaping of individual fates in the political sphere. Based on Sławomir Mrożek's short story, this performance will be shown on February 8 at 7:00 PM at the Öntöde stage. Directed by Attila Keresztes, with set and costume designs by Blanka-Alíz Bajkó, and music and sound design by Csaba Boros.

The troupe members aim to help students understand an obligatory reading for the maturity exam, presenting Imre Madách's masterpiece, The Tragedy of Man, condensed into 50 minutes. The interactive lessons will take place on February 11 at 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM at Salamon Ernő High School. The director is Szófia Deli, dramaturg B. Markó Orsolya, and the play's dramatic structure is managed by Lina Zétényi.

Fodor Alain Leonard's solo performance Drug Diary, based on the book by writer, journalist, and film critic Viktor Kubiszyn, delves into the vicious circle of addiction, the difficulties of quitting, and the possibilities of final purification. One of the main goals of the performance is drug prevention, but it also highlights human nature's weaknesses. Performances will take place on February 11 at 1:00 PM for organized groups and at 7:00 PM for the general public. Both performances will be held at the Öntöde building.

This season, the Figura Theatre is preparing presentations of productions that were part of their repertoire in the early years of the theatre. Ubu Roi was seen by the public twice, first in 1987, and then in 1991, both times directed by László Bocsárdi. In the first part of Alfred Jarry's four-part drama series, we meet Papa Ubu and Mama Ubu. Encouraged by his wife, Papa Ubu kills the Polish king and takes the throne. The play offers insight into both the good and bad sides of human nature through several real and fictional characters. Directed by Sardar Tagirovsky, with assistant director Márk Cristopher Demeter, set designer Kata Mihály, costume designer Beáta Sós, and composer Gábor Kolozsi Borsos. The premiere will be held on February 21 at 7:00 PM, with subsequent performances scheduled for February 26 and 28.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance at www.figura.ro, or at the venue before the performances. Reservations and further information are available at the phone number 0752-227-011 or via email at org@figura.ro.
